Forgotten Villa is a first-person story-driven horror experience set inside a massive forestside villa you recently inherited from your late uncle. What begins as a simple weekend trip with friends slowly turns into something far more unsettling after you wake up alone inside the house with no explanation, and no one left to talk to except the villa’s quiet caretaker.
Exploration, mystery, and atmosphere define the experience. Every door you open, every sound you hear, and every hallway you walk through reveals more of what this place truly is.

The villa is enormous – long hallways, old guest rooms, storage spaces, a huge kitchen, and locked areas scattered everywhere.
What looks peaceful at first becomes strangely unnerving as you notice subtle details:
rooms left untouched for years, objects placed oddly, lights behaving strangely, and an atmosphere that feels colder than it should.

Forgotten Villa builds tension through discovery rather than constant jumpscares.
You uncover the story through:
• Notes and written clues
• Environmental objects
• Old belongings of the previous owner
• Strange behavior from the caretaker
• Events that unfold naturally as you explore
The villa never forces answers on you you piece them together yourself.

You are never meant to fight.
You survive by:
• Staying hidden
• Moving quietly

• Using the layout of the villa to your advantage
The house itself becomes part of the gameplay your safety depends on how well you understand its structure and its secrets.

Locked rooms, missing keys, broken power systems, and scattered clues shape your progression.
You must observe, think, and explore carefully to move deeper into the villa and uncover what happened to your friends.
Nothing is random every puzzle is tied to the house’s history.

This game makes limited use of generative artificial intelligence only for background music creation.
AI was used solely to compose music tracks where the lyrics are in Sanskrit, a language for which affordable and practical production resources are extremely limited.
All sound effects, environmental audio, voice elements, and dialogue are entirely human-made, created by my friends or sourced from free and licensed platforms such as YouTube, Soundly, and similar libraries.
No AI was used for visuals, gameplay systems, writing, level design, or core creative direction.
This project is my first commercial game, developed with very limited resources. If this game succeeds, I am fully committed to not using generative AI for audio or visual content in future projects, and to collaborating exclusively with human composers and artists.
